Building Schools for the Future investment of £2.2 billion in 05/06. BSF represents a new approach to capital investment. It is bringing together significant investment in buildings and in ICT (Information and Communications Technology) over the coming years to support the Government's educational reform agenda e.g. Academies, new options at 14-19, provision for special needs and extended schools.

Ruth Kelly, Secretary of State for Education and Skills delivered the keynote address at BETT 2005. She saw ICT and its potential to transform how we teacher, learn and communicate as crucial to government's drive to raise standards. ICT Mark announced (quality mark for ICT in schools). At BETT the Embedding ICT @ Secondary - Subject Specific Packs were available.
