Ann Constable's Profile
Ann Constable's Profile Description
I joined the Lab in the October of 1989; I am currently the longest
serving member of the team. My role in Ultralab is their accounts
manager, managing a number of diverse projects. I undertake this with
the help of Claire, who I have been working with and coaching for the
last couple of years. I also endeavor to support Richard as much as
possible with the day-to-day challenges. This is a stretch in two ways,
one in the general evolution of Ultralab within Anglia Ruskin, and
secondly in the type of initiatives that Ultralab undertakes.
My escape at weekends, is to the water, recently I have swapped hemispheres, my husband Gary is working in Melbourne Australia. I now share my time between the UK and Australia, with no current favourite; both have unique attractions, although Melbourne is an easy and great city to live in, and could be a tough place to leave. They have more than 3000 restaurants, which is an additional challenge to weight management (see below). I am and trialling remote working, some may say to the extreme, the technology today makes what once would have been impossible, possible! and the time -zone difference can be both a blessing and a curse. We can use ‘chase the sun’ advantages to extend the working day to help support Richard in the general running of the Lab. But it also means that just as the UK day starts I should be out exploring more dinner locations or sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down! Gary, my husband and I have three sons, Paul, Mark & Luke also a grandson Max who is adorable. I am fair-haired, going grey gracefully I hope, 5ft 2", enjoy life to the full. Love boats and going to the Gym, although recently the latter has lapsed I am afraid, so now I have to watch what I eat! I also enjoy dancing, gardening, cooking and sewing, when I can find the time. |
