National Archive of Educational Computing Project Description
Since Ultralab's inception, we have been collecting artifacts, software, resources and papers relating to the development of educational computing over the last thirty years. We now have over 300 crates of materials, some of which are on display in Ultralab. The archive reflects the extraordinary creativity and wealth of innovation in the education sector as new information and communications technology have become avaialable. The lessons to be learnt from this unique resource include an understanding of what has worked and what hasn't and a realisation of the value of learning resources which engage learners in participative and collaborative activity. The archive is also a goldmine of solid learning materials awaiting redevelopment in modern contexts.
Ultralab are actively seeking sponsorship for this project and welcome interest from new partners.
