The Ultralab team

Ultralab's team numbers approximately 40 (January 2006), and is a diverse group from an eclectic range of backgrounds.

Many of us are former teachers, some are experienced computer professionals and others have an interest in games, health and the creative arts. We all have significant track-records in education and technology, some going back 25 years.

We share a desire to understand learning and technology in equal measure and aspire to be ingenious in both.

Although Ultralab is based in Chelmsford, half of the team live in other regions of the UK, including Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. We benefit enormously from the local cultural knowledge and the online 'lived experience' of these colleagues.

Our team is also concerned to intentionally create a community of practice within Ultralab, and to share in that community strength with others through this web site.
